Chapter 7

On Sunday morning, I woke up at 7:00. I crawled out of bed, the walked over to my calender, Today's the day.... I thought. Today I would either be slowly working toward my dreams, or staying were I was. The moment I started thinking about that, I got butterflies in my stomach. Today was the Gymnastics meet About a minute later, the butterflies went away, so then I quickly slipped on my leotard and warm-up clothes. But today I didn't wear my normal leotard. Like how any country in the Olympics would wear their Country's colors, I wore my gym's colors. I felt special that way. After I finished getting dressed, I walked over to Sydney with her favorite toy and played with her. After about three minutes of playing with Sydney, I heard Mom call me for breakfast. Today Instead of pancakes or french-toast, I had cereal.

                                                                          ♥♥♥

After I finished my cereal, I stayed in the kitchen for a little while. "Are you nervous at all?" Mom asked me. "A little.....Butterflies...." I replied. "Oh, Yes. I know how you feel. I mean, not about Gymnastics, but about Skiing." Mom said. "Wait.....what? I didn't know you Skied!" I said in shock. "Yes, I did. I was about your age, too. I remember my third race at age ten, I was nervous." Mom said. "Which place did you get? First, second, third, or beyond that?" I asked immediately. "Let me tell you the story. I had bad luck throughout the season, I had either been either skiing into a tree, or just crashing into someone." Mom continued. I giggled a little at the thought of Mom skiing into a tree. Mom laughed some, too. "Then, when that race came, I was all set to win last place, I was even so nervous I forgot my polls." Mom continued. "But when that race was finished, First place came between me and my best friend. And the judges took the longest time to choose -- or so it seemed. The I heard my name announced next to 'First Place'. I had never expected to win even third place, let alone first! But I did. And that medal is still proudly hung in my bedroom." Mom finished and got up and went down the hallway to the door to her bedroom and motioned for me to follow. I got up out of my chair, and went to Mom's bedroom. As soon as I walked in, I saw the gold medal standing in a case. "Whoa...." I said in awe. "I never knew you were a skier!" I said in awe again. "I was. Even though, I never made it as far as the Olympics--or even two more meets--I still cherish that moment" Mom said smiling. "I wonder if that will happen with me. But I would want to go to more meets than just one." I said, I smiled. Then I saw a picture of Mom skiing. "I think we should go skiing. I would love to teach you. I mean not now, but as soon as it starts to snow. The weather is bad enough, it might start snowing. Anyway, we better get going, we don't want you to be late on a day like this!" Mom said. I didn't know what to say. I was honestly in shock! And I had a hard time believing that I had never seen the Ski's in the corner of Mom's room.

                                                                     ♥♥♥

As soon as we got to the Gym, my nerves started to kick in. I remembered my routines by heart, I was just nervous that I would freeze. As soon as I saw Hannah, I ran over to her. "Are you nervous?" I asked Hannah. "Kind-of.....I guess I'm not really worried about my floor routine, though." Hannah replied. "Your right. You like were born for Floor Routine." I said smiling. "Thanks! I think you'll win first-place for Uneven Bars." Hannah said, smiling as well. "Thanks!" I said to Hannah, now I was grinning ear-to-ear. After talking with Hannah, I felt a little less nervous. I watched nervously as Hannah mounted the Beam. A great Handspring, a good in-air split, and a great dismount. I clapped as she finished her Dismount, and landed on her feet. I clapped and smiled. "Didn't Hannah do great?" I asked Dixie. "Yup" Dixie said, with a nervous look on her face. "It's okay. Your great at Beam. I think we all have something that we are good at." I said. "I guess..." Dixie said. "Next up, Rose from Twizlers Gymnastics on the Uneven Bars" The Announcer  said. Before I went over to the uneven bars, I visioned my routine, and how I wanted it to look. After visualizing for about ten seconds, I quickly hurried over to the Uneven Bars, And started my routine. I whirled around, completed two great handstands, A great Split-release, And a perfect Dismount. I did my Gymnastics Finish then headed back to where I had been sitting before I was called. "You did great!" Dixie told me as soon as I sat down. "Thanks" I said. Then my butterflies were calm--for a couple of minutes. Then I heard the announcer call Adrianna, a girl from another gym, up onto the Vault. I held my breath as I watched Adrianna soar over the Vault, then I saw that she stuck her landing--she made it look effortless! Now I got nervous again. My stomach twisted into a knot. I could see Hannah on the Floor Routine at the same time, I saw that she too stuck her landing. I clapped for her, I really did clap for everyone, but especially Hannah. Then I saw Hannah do her Finish. I cheered the loudest--or at least I hope I did.

                                                                       ♥♥♥

After everyone had gone through their routines, it was probably the most anxious ten minutes of my life. I was so nervous, I was so nervous and anxious because this was when the judges were calculating our scores, and it wasn't only ours, it was everyone's all at once. I hoped that I could get a medal, fourth and fifth place and so on don't get medals. So I wanted either, first, second, or third. But I would take fourth, too. I could barely control my butterflies in my stomach at this point. "In first place on Uneven Bars" The announcer called. My Jaw was tight, I was also holding my breath. I saw other girls--that did really really well--doing the same. I saw the Announcer check her clipboard, and looked away from it with an uneasy look. This made me even more nervous."A tie between, Rose from Twizlers Gymnastics, and Emma from Champion Gymnastics!" The Announcer said finally. I couldn't believe it! The first thing I could do was except a bunch of hugs from, Hannah, Dixie, Freyya, Leanna, and Kara. Then I hurried over to the podium where I excepted my medal. I smiled as I looked around at the audience, the first person I saw was Mom, cheering the loudest. I grinned from ear-to-ear. This is the road to the Olympics! I thought to myself. Then I smiled even more imagining myself Soar on the Uneven bars in the 2016 Rio Olympics, then standing on the podium, excepting a gold medal.... Then I heard the Announcer start to speak again. "Second place on Uneven Bars.......Maria from Sparkle Gymnastics!" Then the Announcer finished announcing for the Uneven Bars, I still held my breath--for my team, they have became my close friends. "For Floor Routine Awards" The announcer said. "First place goes to...Hannah from Twizlers Gymnastics!" The announcer said. I clapped so much, I thought my hands were going to fall off. I grinned at Hannah as I watched her medal being draped around her neck. But, the announcing wasn't over yet. "Second Place on Floor Routine goes to.....Megan from Champion Gymnastics" The announcer said. "And taking third place on Floor routine..." I held my breath, for me, and my teammates. "Kara from Twizlers Gymnastics!" The announcer finished announcing the Floor Routine medals. I did clap for Kara though,. It seemed like only yesterday that Kara was struggling on Floor, and now here she is getting third place on Floor! I cheered and clapped  'til my hands hurt, and my voice went weak. I could tell that Kara was very Happy. "Now for Beam Awards!" The announcer began. "First place goes to Dixie from Twizlers Gymnastics!". Dixie was so excited, it really did show. I saw her and Kara go up to the podium at the same time. I cheered and clapped for Dixie, too. After all, she was a friend now. "Second place goes to.....Megan from Champion Gymnastics!" the announcer continued. "And coming in third place is......Hannah from Twizlers Gymnastics!".  I clapped hard from the podium. I also watched Hannah except her medal. I knew that Hannah wasn't expecting that. I saw her in   shock, happy shock, though. "Now for Vault" The Announcer continued. "First place goes to....Dixie from Twizlers Gymnastics!". I watched as a grin spread across Dixie's face. I smiled watching Dixie except her medal. "Second place goes to......Rose from Twizlers Gymnastics!". I was in shock. My eyes as big as saucers, I has never expected this! But, it was a good shock. I smiled as I excepted my medal. "Third place goes to.....Adrianna from Spirit Gymnastics!" The Announcer finished. I watched as Adrianna excepted her medal. Then I saw the announcer walk to the middle of our gym. "Thank you everyone for coming. And I hope you enjoyed this years annual Gymnastics State Competition!" She said. And with that, all of the gymnasts from all states were piling out the door, into their lockers, or into the viewing area to find their parents. Afterwards, I felt like I was floating, this had seemed like a dream! But, I pinched myself to make sure. It was real. After I filled up on water, I went over to my team to congratulate them. Sure enough, we all said Congratulations at the same exact time.

                                                                     ♥♥♥

After Congratulating everyone from my gym, I went up to the seating area to try and find Mom. After about 10 minutes of looking, I found her. "Hi Mom!" I said. "I'm so proud of you, Rose!" Mom said at the same time as giving me a giant hug. "Thanks Mom!" I said. "Oh, and hi." Mom finished. Mom was grinning ear to ear, just as I had been when I had excepted my medals on the podium.

                                                                     ♥♥♥
Later that day after I got home, all I could really do was fall over on the couch. I felt little paws climbing up my body, it was Sydney. Sydney is my cat who I've had since I was a baby. Then I closed my eyes and pet Sydney at the same time. I closed my eyes to contemplate what had just happened. I contemplated  how I had gotten two medals......about a half-hour after thinking about the medals, I gently put Sydney next to my feet, and got up and went to my room down the hallway--carrying my two medals. As soon as I got to my room, I checked the time. 5:46 PM the clock said. Wow....I never thought it was this late! I thought to myself. I glanced out the window, the rain still pouring. It had been stormy and rainy for months now. Where I live, it rarely clears up. Then I focused on what I was doing--trying to find a safe place for my two medals. Even though I had only been awarded these two medals only hours ago, they were two of my most special things. I looked for a place in my closet, on my side table, by my window, and on my wall. And didn't have any luck. But, finally, after about an hour or so of looking, I found a great place on my bookshelf.  I put them in the top-glass part of my bookshelf. Where I also kept my autographs from the Fierce Five. When I was in the middle of closing the door to the glass shelf, I heard mom call for dinner. I finished closing my shelf, then I walked to the kitchen.

                                                                     ♥♥♥

After eating a very tasty dinner, I went back into my bedroom and changed into my pajamas and crawled into bed. Then I fell asleep, once again, listening to the pitter-patter of rain....and some thunder.

Authors Note: I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO sorry! This was SO late. It take a LONG logn ling long time to make a chapter. Not so much the typing, but it's the things that I have to think up. ;)

Chapter 6

A week had passed since I had been to the Gym -- to be exact, 3 days and 4 hours! --. The weather had been really bad these days, so the bus couldn't run and it was too dangerous to walk home, the wind could swoop us up. I sighed as I sat at my school desk. I sighed again as I finished my spelling, I longed to be soaring on the Uneven Bars, flipping on my floor routine, and pushing up on the Vault. Then Hannah looked at me. "It's okay, Rose. I'm sure we'll be able to go to the Gym today. I think the weather has cleared up enough." Hannah said as if she could read my mind. "You're right. I'm just worried about only having one week to practice, not two anymore." I said truthfully. "It'll be fine. You're totally going to get first on the Uneven Bars. You totally shine on them." Hannah said, then she smiled. "I think you'll make it to the Olympics in that event!" Hannah said a little too loudly. "Thanks! I think you'll make it to the Olym-" Just then, Miss Hunnington cut me off. "Rose, Hannah, we're not talking about the Olympics right now. Now, please turn to page fifty-two in your math books." Miss Hunnington said briskly. I sighed. All I wanted to talk about was the Olympics. And all I was thinking was the Competition. It had crept so close. I knew I shined at Uneven Bars, but someone could take it right away from me. I sighed again. Then I turned to page fifty-two in my math book.

After School, I was on the bus staring out the window. Then, I suddenly realized, the weather was clearing up! Sure, it was still raining super hard, but it had cleared up enough that me and Hannah would walk to Gymnastics! "Hannah! Hannah!" I said, "Uh-huh." Hannah said, she sounded half distracted. "The weather cleared up! That means we can go to Gymnastics today!" I said with happy relief. "Yay! I can't wait!" Hannah said, I could tell that she was smiling, too.

                                                                     ♥♥♥

As soon as the bus arrived at Gymnastics, Me and Hannah were the first off of the bus. Then we burst into the Gym. I looked out onto the mats, seeing if anyone was there already. I already knew that Kara went to a different school that was further away, so she was a little bit late sometimes. Then I looked over to where the  advanced girls were. They weren't there! "Hannah, did you notice that--" "That the Advanced girls were gone? Yes!" Then I giggled a little, and Hannah did too. Then I walked over to my locker and took off my sweats. Hannah did the same. I looked around the Gym for a second time. I spotted Coach Anna chalking up the Bars and Beam. Then I started running over to the mats -- In sync with Hannah! Then I sat down and started stretching, along with Hannah. After about five minutes of stretching, I heard the Gym doors open, it was Dixie. I waved at her and smiled. Hannah did the same. Then Dixie waved back. About a minute later, Dixie reached the mats. "Hi" I said to her. "Hi! Was I late today?" Dixie asked. "Nope! You were on-time!" Hannah said. "That's good, the traffic was horrible where I was coming from. It was probably the bad weather." Dixie said. "Girls, can you come over to the Beam for a second." Coach Anna called to us. At that moment, I started bolting to the Beam. "Sit on the beam, please." Coach Anna said again. "Well Girls," Coach Anna began, "Your competition is in one week, Next Saturday" Coach Anna continued, "I think we really have to make the most of our time here, this means no goofing around." Coach Anna said. I knew she tryed to sound kind, but this time, it just didn't work. After the whole team agreed, we started warming up.

Since Me and Hannah had already warmed up, we moved onto Beam. But by the time we got there, everyone else was done Warming up, too. Dixie was first, She did a nearly perfect hand-spring, a super great in-air split, and a fantastic dismount. I saw her smiling as she landed her dismount. "I wish I could do that Dismount." I said in awe. "Me, too. Rose, You're the best on the team at Uneven Bars, or I really think so." Hannah said, "And you really seem to enjoy them." Hannah continued, "You were born on the Uneven Bars!" Hannah finished, giggling. I giggled, too. Next up was Hannah, she did a great handspring, a very good in-air split. But right when she was in the middle of the Beam, Coach Anna said, "Hannah, how about we try a Salto.". I was shocked, that's what they did in the Olympics! "I'll need to help you, though." She finished. I watched as Coach Anna walked over to the middle of the Beam, and helped Hannah do a Salto. "I don't exactly understand what a Salto is...." Freyya said, I could tell she sounded kind-of embarrassed. "It's okay, Freyya." Kara piped up, "I barely know, either." She finished. "A Salto is just a fancy name for Flip." I said. "Ohhh...Thanks Rose!" Freyya said. "Your welcome" I said back to Freyya. After Hannah had completed her successful dismount, it was my turn. I mounted the Beam, Did a good handspring, an great in-air split, and a great dismount. I smiled as I landed on two feet. It felt great to be to the Gym again after three days. That might not seem very long to some people, but I had really missed it. Next was Kara, she completed a good in-air split, a good handspring, and a great dismount. "Oh, and girls....." Coach Anna said, "I have some news....." She continued. "Everyone on the team isn't going to get a spot to compete, we are going to have to choose the best of the best Gymnasts of your level. And you know girls, you are the best Gymnast's at your level." Coach Anna continued. "And we are competing against other Gyms. But I think you already knew that." Coach Anna finished. My mouth dropped. "We are....The.......best of our level?" I asked, in astonishment. I didn't think I was super good. "Yes girls. You have all worked so hard, training since you were three. And some of you, even two and a half." Coach Anna said. "Awesome!" Everyone said in the team at the same time. Next, we moved to Floor. Hannah was up first, she did a great handspring, a great in-air split, and a almost perfect walk-over. next up was Dixie, she did a good walk-over, a great handspring, and an okay in-air split. Then it was Kara's turn, she did everything good. I saw her smiling when she stuck her landing on her Handspring. Then was me, I did a great in-air split, a good handspring, and a great walkover. I also completed my routine with a smile. Next up was Freyya, as soon as Freyya sprung into her handspring, something struck me. Was Leanna going to be able to compete? I sighed. Leanna had gone out early in the season because of an injury. I looked into the viewing area where Leanna was sitting. Then I turned  my head back then looked at the wall clock. 5:30. Practice had been way longer then I had thought! "Girls, I'm sorry, but we're out of time. I'm sorry we don't have enough time for Uneven bars or Vault today. I promise that tomorrow we'll do Uneven bars and Vault first." Coach Anna said. Right after Coach Anna had announced that, I started running to my locker. I opened my locker, pulled out my sweats, put them on -- including umbrella, rain boots, and my raincoat!--, pulled my gym bag onto my back, said goodbye to everyone, then I ran out the door and onto the bus with the rest of the team.

                                                                     ♥♥♥

On the bus, everyone was talking. "Hannah," I began. "Yeah?" Hannah replied to me. "I---" I got cut off, "Wait! I have a Halloween joke for you!" Hannah said. "Okay!" I said, I always liked Hannah's jokes. "Why did the skeleton climb a tree?" Hannah asked me. "Hmmm......Because....umm.....The skeleton wanted to?" I asked Hannah, I knew that wasn't the answer, but I couldn't think of a better answer. "Nope! Because a dog was after its bones!" Hannah said, giggling. "Ohhhhh!" I said, I giggled, too.

♥♥♥

After the bus arrived at my house, I said goodbye to Hannah then I raced off the bus and into my front door. The first thing I did was look at the calender, Friday, November 2nd, 2012. "Hi Mom" I said. "Hello Rose! How was School and Gymnastics, today?" Mom asked me. "Good. Did you notice that my competition is in two days?" I asked Mom, then it actually struck me, two DAYS?!?!?!?!?!? That isn't barely any time! I thought. "Wow! I didn't realize it was so soon. Come into the kitchen for dinner, I made your favorite!" As soon as Mom said 'I made your' I was already running to the kitchen. I saw a dish of homemade-pizza. I sat down and started eating the pizza. "It's really good!" I told Mom. Mom winked at me. "Thank you." Mom said me. "Your welcome." I said.

                                                                      ♥♥♥

After dinner, I walked down the hallway to my bedroom. I saw Sydney curled up on top of my desk, I smiled and gently picked her up and put her down in her bed. Sydney is my cat who likes to curl up in strange places and sleep. Then I quickly changed into my Pajamas and crawled into bed. I could still hear the giant gusts of wind, and the pouring-down rain.

Authors note: Sorry this chapter was late! Let me tell you, these take forever to write. Plus I'm pretty busy these days :P. But I still find time to write! :)

Chapter 5

The next morning, I crawled out of bed. I peeked over to my clock. 6:32 AM  "It's early" I mumbled to myself. I went down stairs, to find Sydney curled up sleeping. The sound of her breathing was always relaxing to me. I tip-toed down the hall into the computer room and turned it on. Then I walked over to the phone.  Then I called Hannah. "Hello?" Hannah said in a tiny voice, I could tell she had just woken up, too. "Hi Hannah, It's Rose." I said, I realized that I sounded tired, too. "Sorry for calling so early.....I just woke up early today." I said, walking back over to the computer. "Me, too." Hannah said yawning. I looked into the distance staring out, I found myself staring in the direction of the Gym. "So, Are you nervous about the....Competition?" Hannah asked me. "Kind-of. I mean, we only have 2 weeks to practice" I said truthfully . "Don't worry, I feel the same way." Hannah said. Then I heard footsteps down the hallway. "Rose?" I heard the familiar voice, it was Mom. "Yes, Mom?" I asked. "Oh, I just wanted to know if that was you" Mom said to me with a wink. "Rose? Helllooooo?" Hannah said. I giggled a little. "I'm here!" I said. "Okay--" Hannah just said, when she got cut off by her Mom in the distance. "I have to go" Hannah said, I could tell she didn't want to go. "Okay, Bye!" I said. Then I pushed off on the phone, and put it back on the stand to charge.

                                                                         ♥♥♥

After breakfast, I hurried to my room to collect my gym bag, grips, and my leotard. Then I set off walking to the gym. It was raining again, I didn't exactly like walking to the gym in the rain, but that would be okay. After about a solid 10 minutes of walking, I finally reached the gym. Today I was about 5 minutes early, so I could take my time. Then something struck me Competition, I sighed. I really did need the extra practice, we only had 2 weeks to train! So today, instead of going and watching the state champions, I headed over to  the mats. I first I practiced my Handsprings, then Splits, followed by a Walkover. Then I headed over to the uneven bars. Oh yeah! I need my grips! I thought to myself. At that moment, I  started running across the gym and reached my locker, by this time, Hannah had gotten to the gym. "Hi Hannah!" I called across the gym waving wildly. "Hi!" Hannah called wildly back to me. After Hannah had reached the mats -- along with me, we started stretching. "Sorry I called you so early this morning, I was just a little anxious" I said. "Oh! It's fine! I woke up early, too!" Hannah said, a ping of excitement in her voice. Then, Kara walked up, followed by Freyya. "Hello" They both said at the same time. Before we got to reply, Coach Anna walked up and nodded toward us. "Thank you girls for starting to stretch before I got here, I was talking to Coach Lydia. You know.....you girls will be there someday." Coach Anna said, it seemed she was looking in the direction of Hannah, then me, then Kara, and finally Freyya. "Has anyone seen Dixie? I hope she isn't late today." Coach Anna said, to me the end sounded kind-of brisk. Just then, Dixie walked up. "I'm sorry, I had a sleepover last night. I'm really so sorry I was late" Dixie said. "It's fine! But for these final days, we would like you to be on time. But that would be starting next week. Since next week, we would only have that week to train." Coach Anna said. My stomach twisted into a knot, two weeks? I asked myself in my head, That's not long at all!. "Now girls, lets go to Beam." Coach Anna said, I was honestly a little nervous about only having 2 weeks. I galloped over to the beam, Hannah and Dixie both catching up to me. Dixie was first, I thought that Beam was her best event, but she had only been in two classes so I didn't know for sure. She completed a perfect Handspring and a good split jump. And a fantastic dismount. My jaw dropped a little, but right after I quickly closed it so that no-one would see. I  Next was me. I completed a good In-Air split, an okay hand-spring, and a great dismount. Next was Hannah, she flew threw her routine like it was effortless. I clapped and smiled. Next was Kara, and she managed to land her dismount! I was proud of her. "I'm proud of you Kara! You landed it! You did it!" Coach Anna said with a smile. "Thanks!" Kara mumbled smiling broadly. Last was Freyya, this time she actually landed her hand-spring. I was glad, I really didn't want anyone to get hurt two weeks before competition. After Freya had finished her routine, we headed over to Uneven Bars. I had been looking forward -- extra! -- all day to the Uneven Bars. They are my favorite thing in Gymnastics. I was up first, I swung on the bars. As always, I felt as if I was flying. Then I completed my split on the bars, and then my dismount. Then I did a finish. Perfect I thought, although It wasn't exactly perfect, I thought it  was good though. I smiled. Next up was Hannah, she did her split, followed by a handstand, and then her dismount. I clapped -- and smiled. I saw that Hannah was smiling, too. Then Kara was up, she was good, she also landed her dismount! "I think Kara has been improving" Hannah whispered to me. "Definitely" I replied. Then was Freyya. She seemed to have improved,  too. Her dismount was wonderful. I didn't expect that. "I guess everyone does have to step up their game a little bit..." I said. "I guess" Hannah said. "I mean, our competition is in two weeks" She continued. "It's so soon..." I said, kind-of worried. "Agreed" Hannah said like a business woman. I giggled. I could hear it in Hannah's voice, too. After the Uneven Bars, we headed over to floor. "Girls, I really want you to all remember your routines, you may get a deduction if you need help or forget your routine." Coach Anna said, "Girls, Please also be sure to be early for the next part of our practice, we once again only have two weeks. I'm very proud of you girls. I really am" Coach Anna said, smiling. At that moment, me and my whole team were smiling.

                                                                            ♥♥♥

After Gymnastics I walked home. I was still smiling, I couldn't get over how proud Coach Anna had seemed. I walked up to my porch and looked threw the cold window. I saw Sydney curled up on the rug in the living room. I smiled at Sydney, too. Then I opened the door and quickly ran in and threw myself on the couch. I was still smiling. After about a solid 10 minutes sitting on the couch and daydreaming about the Olympics, I got up. Then I walked into the kitchen. "Dinner's ready!" Mom said. I walked over to the dining room table and sat down. "You seem happy." Mom said, playfully. "Coach Anna is very proud of the team and how hard we've worked. But, I'm still kind-of nervous about the Competition...I mean, we only have 2 weeks left to train..." I said truthfully. "That's okay. I'm proud of you, too. I remember when you did your first-ever Gymnastics, a tumble roll on the lawn when you were two. Right after the 2004 Athens Olympics." Mom said in awe. "Me too." I said, I stared back to that moment....Then a happy relief went over me. I didn't feel as nervous as I had before. "Thanks Mom" I said. "Your welcome, Rose." Mom said.

                                                                         ♥♥♥

After a delicious dinner of spaghetti, I headed down the hallway to my room. I slipped on my Pajamas, then went back down the hall. "Mom," I said. "Yes, Rose?" Mom said kindly. "Do you.....think I'll go to the Olympics some day?" I asked while biting my lip. "I do," Mom began "As long as you keep training. If you do, I think you'll be like Gabby Douglas." Mom said, smiling at me. I smiled back at her. "Thanks Mom" I said. After that I skipped down the hallway to my room. I saw that Sydney had curled up on my pillow. I walked over to Sydney and gently took her off my pillow. I heard a small 'Meow' come out of her. Then I took her up on my bed and gently set her down again. Then I crawled under my covers and fell asleep, once again, listening to the soft pitter-pater of the rain.

Chapter 4

The next day, I sat at my school desk, it was 2:32. But, it wasn't just that, we had a spelling test! Every Monday my class has a spelling test -- this wasn't a bad thing, I just didn't want to do it today. I had gotten about 3 hours of sleep last night, so my School skills weren't at their best today. I raised my hand, and Miss Hunnington called on me. "Miss Hunnington, Can I please go and get a snack? I'm a little Hungry." I said, I knew I would get no for an answer. "Rose, Get something to eat after class, now follow along with the spelling test" Miss Hunnington said briskly. I sighed, all I wanted to do was get out of the stuffy class room, despite the rain! Hannah turned toward me, "Will a joke cheer you up?" Hannah said, cheerfully. "Uhh, I guess so" I said tiredly. "Well, It's not the best, but here. Knock-Knock" Hannah said "Whos there?" I asked "Orange!" Hannah said. "Orange who?" I asked again. "Orange you glad that your not in the 7th grade class and you don't have to do so much Spelling!" Hannah said, Giggling slightly. I giggled, too. And it also cheered me up, Hannah just had a way of doing it. I sat up more straight now. Miss Hunnington called on me, "Rose, Can you tell us how to spell Hydraulics?", I slumped. That was hard! "H-y-d-r-a-u-l-i-c-s?" I asked, hoping that was right. "Correct" Miss Hunnington said briskly. I checked my watch, 3:18. What? I thought we got out at 3:00! Were late! I thought.

                                                                       ♥♥♥

After the Spelling Quiz, School ended. I pulled on my Sweater and grabbed my Umbrella and headed out the door with Hannah. I grabbed my Backpack and Gym bag and started walking to the Gym, Again with Hannah. After we got there. I could hear Coach Lydia pushing the Older girls. "Come on! I know I never push you like this, But we have a World Competition in 5 Weeks!" Coach Lydia said. As soon as I pulled off my sweats -- in sync with Hannah -- I headed over to the mats, to find that our team had already started Warm-ups -- and talking about yesterday! --. I spotted Leanna in the sitting area, I wouldn't like to be her right now. "Girls, I have a very important announcement to make" Coach Anna paused, and took a deep breath. "We're going to start competing" She said as soon as she let her breath out. I suddenly got very excited  and happy! That lifted my spirits, I got a chance to live my Dreams! All my teammates were over the moon. "Now, we have good news and bad news, which one?" Coach Anna said, Kindly. "Good!" Me and all of my teammates said at the same time. "Very well then, I want you to welcome out newest member, Dixie!" Coach Anna said. "So, Dixie, whats your favorite routine in Gymnastics?" Coach Anna asked, I thought she sounded like a news reporter. "Well, If I had to choose a favorite thing it would probably be..." I could tell Dixie was thinking hard.."Beam" She said finally. "Very well, Girls I'll tell you more about the Competing while we stretch" Coach Anna said. "Then we'll move on to the beam" She said kindly. "Will we get to do Uneven bars or at least bars today?" I suddenly asked, It had just slipped out off the tip of my tongue.  "We'll see" Coach Anna said playfully. As we stretched Coach Anna began to talk about the competition."We'll be competing at one of the Most finest Arenas around the Area. I'll show you our floor routines." Coach Anna said. "But Girls, I have to warn you, You're going into Hard-core Gymnastics, not just Swinging around the bars all day, It's kind-of like the Olympics" She said. Smiles spread across bolth me and Hannah's face's at the same time. I saw someone with auburn hair in the distance, It was Kara. "Now you were going to tell us the bad news...???" I asked nervously. "Yes, Well, It's that...The Competition, is umm...Soon." Coach Anna said, I could tell that she didn't want to tell us it. "How soon?" I asked. "3 Months...." Coach Anna said. I gasped, along with Hannah, Freyya, Dixie, and Kara who had just walked up. "I was hesitant to tell you.." Coach Anna said, as if she had done something terrible and wanted to say sorry. "It's okay!" I piped up. "I'm looking forward to it!" I said happily. "Alright then, Onto the beam!" Coach Anna said brightly. Dixie was up first -- obviously --. I soon found that she was good. She did a nearly perfect Cartwheel, Now I felt like I was competing. But, that was I guess okay. Next up was Kara, And AGAIN stumbled on her dismount. "I know your trying," Coach Anna said to Kara softly, "Just try to practice a little more, maybe coming 4 times a week would help." She finished, still, her voice soft. "I know you can do it" She said, finally finishing her sentence. Next was me, I did a pretty good cartwheel, a good split, and a pretty good dismount. "Wow! Rose, Your left in-air split is getting much better! Those could be Olympic  material!" Coach Anna praised. I smiled. Hannah gave me a cheer, and I stepped back-to-the -back of the line. Hannah was up next. I did a silent cheer for her -- right after she did her perfect dismount! --. "Very very very nice dismount!' Coach Anna commented. Then it was Freyya's turn, she totally fell off the beam! Coach Anna didn't say anything. Next we headed over to Vault. I was first -- Just like yesterday. I thought it was weird, Maybe I was getting better and it would be one of my Olympic events! Well, for now, all I could do is dream. I went first, I flew threw my routine. Today, not one mistake! I smiled right after I landed. Hannah did a silent cheer. I smiled. Next up was Hannah, She was perfect! Her hard work really did pay off. Next was Dixie. Dixie was really good at Vault, just as she had been at Beam -- like Hannah. Dixie ran, hopped on the spring board, pushed on the Vault, and landed on her feet. I was amazed. But, how could someone so new to Gymnastics know all that? I thought. "Hey, Um, Dixie" I said to Dixie. "Yeah?" She asked, I could tell she was nice. "I was wondering....Have you taken...um.,...Gymnastics before here?" I asked a little shyly. "Yeah, I used to train at a different place. But now I'm here." She said. "Oh," I said, I couldn't manage anymore. I hoped she thought I was nice, too. Then my favorite Olympic commercial came on the Radio that someone must have turned on. I smiled. Then it turned off. "Girls, over to the Uneven bars, then Floor." Said Coach Anna. Dixie was first on Uneven Bars, She swung around, she looked as if she were a bird, swooping. Next was Hannah. She was great today! I think she had practiced more. She did a split -- No knees bent! -- and toes pointed. She was born to do Gymnastics! Or I thought so, and Hannah did, too. "Very nice Hannah! You've improved!" Coach Anna praised. "I, Um, forgot to tell you about the competition, There are only 3 spots." Coach Anna said a little awkward. "Wow, it really does seem like were Competing!" I said to my teammates -- Or now my Competitors! --. But nothing would stop me from them being my Teammates -- And Friends --. I was up next on the Uneven Bars, I flew threw, I felt like a bird, Swooping threw the sky....."Rose?" Coach Anna asked. "Oh, I'm sorry." I said. I turned up and went back threw my routine again, and landed with a good dismount. "You've improved, too, Rose!" Coach Anna praised. That made me feel good. "You looked like a bird! A swooping bird!" Hannah said, I could tell by the smile on her face that was a compliment. "Thanks!" I told her. Next was Kara, she was okay, but I noticed her Dismount had gotten better. Then Freyya. "Uhh, Can I get some wat-t-t-t-te-e-r...." Freya said, I knew that was an excuse. "After you take a turn on the Uneven Bars. If you'd like you can just go on the normal bars." Coach Anna said. "I'll take the normal Bars...." Freyya said. We headed over to floor while Coach Anna waited for Freyya. "How does everyone feel about the Competition?" Kara asked as she completed her Handspring. I did a in-air-left split. I couldn't believe it! I actually completed a in-air-split like the Olympic girls! I grinned. After we completed Floor, I started to walk down to my Locker. I started running to catch up to the rest of my Teammates. "Hey, Guys, Do you wanna have dinner at my house tonight? I'd have to ask my Mom, though" I asked my Team. "Sure!" Kara said "Of course!" Hannah said. "I'm busy, I have a family thing" Dixie sighed. "I would love to come, though. If I could." Dixie finished her sigh. "Thats okay, Maybe you can come over tomorrow?" I asked hopefully. "Maybe, I'll ask my parents." She finished. After the conversation was over, I ran to my locker, along with Hannah. We grabbed our gym bags and pulled on our sweats -- In sync! --. After that, we put up our Umbrella's and headed out the Gym door.

                                                                      ♥♥♥

After we got to my house, I asked Mom if Hannah could stay for Dinner. "I don't see why not!" Mom said with a wink. "What would you like, Hannah?" Mom asked. "Well, It's rainy, So maybe something soup-ish?" Hannah said with a giggle. I giggled, too. "How about tomato soup?" Mom asked. "Sure!" Hannah said, still half-giggling. After Mom started cooking Me and Hannah went down the hall to my room. "Wow, I love that poster of the Fierce Five over there" Hannah pointed to my bulletin board. "Thanks!" I said. After finishing the our third game of Apples to Apples Mom called us for Dinner. Me and Hannah had sprung up. I sat down. And Hannah did right after me. "What a shame Dixie couldn't come" Mom said. "How'd you know about her?" I asked, a little rougher than I had meant to sound. "Rose, You told me" Mom said, Playfully. "Oh," I giggled. and a couple seconds later, Hannah joined me.

                                                                        ♥♥♥

After Hannah had left, I went down the hall back to my room. Right after I had put the Apples to apples game away, My cat walked into the room, and curled up on my rug. I pulled on my Pajamas, and Crawled into bed, Listening to the soft and soothing sound of rain.

Chapter 3

As soon as I climbed out of my bed the next morning, I could hear the soft sound of rain. I quickly pulled on my robe and scrambled to the kitchen for breakfast. I had just realized -- Today was going to be one of the best days ever! --. "Good-morning Mom" I said sitting down at our small dining room table. " Good-morning Rose, I was just reading a article about the Olympic Gymnasts, How did you sleep last night?" Asked Mom. "Good, But I had a question, Well....The Fierce Five have a autograph signing here...In town....Can we go?" I asked, Soon after a huge smile spreading on my face. "Sure! Would you like to take your Friends, too?" Mom asked, Soon after my answer was "YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!". Then I started Day-dreaming about how awesome it would be to meet them. Then I walked to the phone, I called Hannah first. And her answer had been the same as Mine "YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!". Then I called Kara, then Freyya, and then Leanna. I thought it would be nice for my whole Gymnastics team to meet them -- They are like our Role Models! Or there at least my Role models! --.

                                                                       ♥♥♥

After a breakfast of Pancakes and bacon, I started to walk to the Gym. It had been raining now for about an hour or so. I was cold and numb by the time I got to the Gym, but it was all worth it. After I got there, there was a happy bustle of excitement going threw the Gym. My Heart leaped when I saw Hannah practicing a In-Air split on the Beam. But today, Leanna wasn't there. I guessed that she was still recovering from her minor injury. This meant that I was late. But, Luckily I had only missed Beam warm-ups. So I pulled off my sweats, and hurried over to the Beam. Hannah did a great Split -- Actually even higher than a split! --. Then she did 3 cartwheels and her dismount. Next up was Freyya, who still seemed nervous and worried. Freyya did her whole routine good except she didn't nearly go as high was Hannah on her splits, but she was still great -- especially for a nervous person! --. "Girls, Water break!" Coach Anna said in a bit of a more louder voice so that everyone could hear. I ran like a race horse! I ran to my locker and took 2 sips of water, and ran back to the Mats. Everyone did their warm ups including me, and this time I noticed improvement! My left Split went further than ever! And the same with the rest of the team. After we finished Warm-ups, then we went to floor -- We didn't need to go anywhere! --.Hannah was up first, she went threw her routine perfectly! "Very nice, Hannah! You have pointed toes, Legs straight. I can tell you really try hard!" Coach Anna praised, A smile crossing her face, "I'm proud of you." She said again to Hannah. "You really do work hard" I said, and gave Hannah a wink. "Thanks" Hannah replied, I could tell she was flattered by all of the compliments. Next was Kara, Kara did mostly everything great, except she stumbled a tiny bit on her finish. "Thats Okay, Kara. Now I can actually see that you are trying your best" Coach Anna said, with a nod of approval. Next up was me. I did everything Pretty well -- I think. "Nice" Coach Anna said to me. I really wanted more than "Nice" But that was Okay! Next was Freyya, I was sure she was still nervous, and again, It showed. After the whole team had finished, we moved onto Vault. It was strange, Because I was up first. I was never up first on the Vault! But I did it anyway, I ran, and the jumped on the Spring-Board, Bounced on the vault with my hands, and landed! Coach Anna clapped I smiled, maybe I would make it to the Olympics someday, I never stopped believing that it could happen! Next on Vault was Hannah, She bounded right threw her routine and came out with the same Finish as me. "If there's 2 people making on this team making the Olympics it would be you and.....I don't know who else" I whispered. After Hannah it was Freyya's turn, she must have been extra worried because this was the same -- exact -- vault her BFF got hurt on. Freyya did very good until she forgot to push up on the Vault! Now that must have been scary. But, Freyya was okay. Next was Kara. She did good. She -- yet again -- stumbled on her dismount. After vault we headed over to Uneven Bars. I was so excited! I was up first, I flew threw the bars, I felt as if I were flying. And I did a good dismount, Or, I didn't think I stumbled! "Great Job on your dismount! You have Improved, Rose!" Coach Anna said. After, Hannah, Kara, Freyya and the rest of the team went, I went to get my Gym bag, along with everyone else. I grabbed my Gym bag and walked home.

                                                                          ♥♥♥

Later that day after Lunch I waited for my team Gymnastics to come. I checked my watch 1:32. "Mom, They were supposed to be here 2 minutes ago!" I said, but I meant it playfully. "Yes, I'm sure they'll be here in one minute" Said Mom. I giggled, and went down the hallway to my room. I stuck some of the mini-posters I had printed out last night onto my bulletin board. The mini posters had pictures of Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Weiber, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross, and Mckayla Maroony. And a couple of Naustia Liukin. Right when I heard a ding-dong at our door, I scrambled to the door. I opened it, it was the whole team! "I'm glad you guys could come!" I said happily. "Us, too!" Hannah, Freyya, Kara, and Leanna said all at the same time. I saw Leanna, then I saw Crutches. "Leanna, Are you alright?" I asked. "Uh, Well, Yeah. I just got a bad sprain, It'll be okay." Leanna said. "Okay, I'm glad you could come!" I said. "Thanks" Leanna said. Soon Mom came out, "Would anyone like anything?" Mom asked. "We want to go!" We all said at the same time, then we all giggled. "Alright, I'll go park the car infront of the house so we don't have to take an adventure threw the garage!" Mom said, Laughing slightly. After Mom had pulled up the Car infront of the house, we all piled in. Luckily we had enough seats!

                                                                               ♥♥♥

After we got to the Arena, I was astonished. It was so awesome! There were seats everywhere -- Not one seat was empty! The bottom of the arena was Huge! It was amazing. The whole Gymnastics team was looking around, astonished like me. As soon as the Fierce Five came out into the Arena, It sounded like there was a bomb of clapping going off! I Clapped extra hard, and so did My Teammates -- or friends. After the introduction, there was beam routines. After the beam routines there was Vault, After they finished Vault, they did their Uneven Bars! I was so excited! Watching the Olympic Girls preform, That was a dream come true to me! After the Uneven bars, they did Floor. It was sooo cool to watch The Fierce Five do their performance It made me want to be in the Olympics even more! After the performance, we headed down to the arena. There, Up close, I saw the Fierce Five. I held up my Autograph Card, "Hello" I said simply. "Hi" They all said, one after another. "So, Do you want to be in the Olympics?" Gabby Douglas asked me, "Yes, I want to go to Rio" I said shortly. "Very cool" Gabby Replied and gave me back my Autograph Card. The rest of the Fierce Five asked me the same, and I had the same reply. I ended up getting everyone's autograph. I was so excited!

                                                                           ♥♥♥

After we got home, some of the girls could stay for dinner, but others could not. So I settled down with Hannah and Kara at the dining table. Mom fixed us Pasta for dinner that night, mine was very good. After Hannah and Kara left, I went to my bed-room. I had picked special frames for my autographs, I smiled at them, Remembering how astonished and happy and excited I had been Earlier. I got on my Pajama's and Once again, Crawled into bed. I fell asleep that night listening to the soft sound of the Rain, pitter-patter, pitter-patter...

Chapter 2

The next Morning when I woke up, I could smell the coldness from the window right next to my bed. I crawled out of bed, still half asleep. I slowly sleep-walked down the hallway and into the kitchen, I could smell the rich aroma of French Toast. After a very delicious breakfast, I headed out to the living-room. I plopped down into the sofa, reaching for the T.V remote. I tryed the News, but it wasn't the news...It was the Olympics! As soon as I heard the 2 words "Womens Gymnastics" I hopped up and ran straight to the phone. I dialed Hannah's phone-number. "Hello?" Hannah's mom said. "Hello, Can I PLEASE speak to Hannah, It's Rose!" I said "Of course you can! I'll go get her." after Hannah had picked up I said "HANNAH! THE WOMENS GYMNASTICS ARE ON!!!! ON THE OLYMPICS!!!! PLEASE COME OVER!!!!!!" I said a little to loudly and excitedly. "I was just going to call you about that! I'm coming right away!" Hannah said. About 10 minutes later, I heard a ding-dong at the door-bell. I ran to open it. "Hannah! Come on! It just started!" I said, jumping up and down. "Yay! I'm glad I didn't miss anything super big or anything!" Hannah said, joining my jumping up and down. "Lets go watch!" I said.

                                                                    ♥♥♥

Right after the Russian team had finished, it was U.S.A's turn, This was where they would announce the Gold medals, or that was tonight at least. This was where someone would win the All-around gold! I was on the edge of the sofa cushion, and so was Hannah! "I'll be right back," I said "Okay, But don't take to long! I don't want to miss a thing!" Hannah said. I ran super quickly to Mom in the kitchen, "Mom, Can you please make us popcorn?" At that, with no reply, Mom got up and handed me a bowl of pop-corn. "I was expecting that question!" She Winked at me. "May I watch with you?" Mom asked "Sure!" I said. I ran out of the kitchen -- Popcorn spilling -- "Ooooh! Popcorn!" Hannah said, "How did you make it so fast?" Hannah asked, "Oh! Mom as expecting us to ask for it!" I said, Giggling a little. Hannah Giggled a little, too. " I cant wait for the Gold Medal Ceremony!" I said, "Are you kidding? Me either!" Hannah replied. After team U.S.A was Romania. Then there was a commercial break -- I loved the commercials on the Olympics --.

                                                                      ♥♥♥

After the Womens Gymnastics was over, we headed over to the Gym. We had to walk, though. There were no buses in sight! so me and Hannah had to walk. But that wasn't a problem, we knew our way by heart. I had been doing it since I was 3, and I think the same goes for Hannah. I looked down at my watch, 10:02 AM. "Hannah, we're here early..." I didn't want to finish my sentance, "Well, Thats not bad at all! We can just do our normal warm-ups on the mats!" Hannah said. "Great idea!" I added. "Wait! Hannah! How about we watch the girls going to the Olympic trails?" I said, "Sure! While doing warm-ups?" Hannah asked "Sure!" I giggled. Hannah joined my giggling. "Hello girls! Your Early again today, I have to go help out with Coach Lydias team for now, Intil the rest of the team arrives. Would you like to come?" Asked Coach Anna. "Yes!!!!" Me and Hannah said at the same -- exact -- time. "Alright, Follow me!" Coach Hannah led us to the far side of the Gym -- Either me or Hannah hadn't been over here before --. I stopped to get a good look at each of the Girls, for they might be representing our country one day! I noticed that Hannah did the same. I watched them do perfect Hand-springs on the Beam, and even more than splits in the air! I bet they could even touch their forehead with their feet! I noticed a big smile cross Hannah's face when she watched a blond girl -- that looked like her -- whip threw her perfect Floor routine. I smiled when I saw a girl on the Uneven Bars. "Alright Girls, I'm back! Lets get to work!" Coach Lydia called out to the girls. Me and Hannah walked back to our mats and started stretching. "Am I late?" Kara suddenly asked when she walked onto the mats, "You scared me! And no, you're right on time!" I smiled. "Thanks" Kara said, plopping down into the mats and started stretching with us. As soon as our whole team was done stretching, we moved on to floor. "First up, Hannah. You know your routine right?" Coach Anna said. "Yes, Coach, I practice every day." Said Hannah. Hannah went threw her routine beautifully. " Very nice Hannah! No mistakes at all!" Coach Anna praised. Leanna was up next. She flew threw her routine, But fell straight on her foot. "Are you Okay?" Me, Hannah, Kara, and the rest of the team asked her all at the same time. "Yeah I think I'm fine" Leanna said. She tryed to get up but she couldn't. Coach Anna helped her up and to the sitting area for the Parents. Next was me, I was a little scared to go right after Leanna because she had gotten injured. I went though. I did everything Okay. But, Coach Anna wasn't around to spot me. As soon as the whole team went, we waited for Coach Anna. When Coach Anna came back she said "I'm sorry, Leanna is hurt, and pretty bad." She said, Nodding her head. Another girl, Freyya, gasped. Freyya was her best friend, Like I would have gasped if Hannah or Kara had gotten hurt. Next, we headed over to Bars. I was up first. I landed pretty well. I just had to re-gain my balance when I swung off. Hannah went, she was pretty good. Then was Kara's turn. She was Okay, she just stumbled on her landing. "Kara, I know that you can improve your landings! Please try a little harder, I don't mean to be mean or anything." Coach Anna said Sternly, but Kindly. "I'll try harder" Kara said in a small voice. Next was Freyya's turn, she seemed so nervous she couldn't even try to hide it! Freyya went, and did small mistakes on almost everything. "Freyya! Please try much harder." Coach Anna said a little Sternly, I could tell that she was getting impatient. After Bars we headed over to beam, First up was me. I did an okay Cartwheel, and a better Handstand. My dismount I was honestly a little worried about. But I did it, and I didn't get hurt. Next was Hannah's turn she did a nearly perfect cartwheel, followed by a small Hand-stand. "Very nice, just try to kick those legs a little bit more on that Handstand" Coach Anna said Kindly. I could tell that Coach Anna was glad to see someone who did it so well. Next was Kara, she seemed a little bit nervous, and didn't stick her landing. But that was okay. At least this time I could tell she tryed hard. I smiled at her effort. Today we did Vault, too. I was nervous at first, but turns out, It could quite possibly be one of my best events! Hannah again did nearly perfect, for a first try, it was spot on though. Next was Kara, she -- again -- fell on her landing. Then was the now very nervous Freyya. Or thats at least what me --- and I could tell the whloe team -- thought. Freyya was so nervous she forgot to push up on the Vault! So she fell.

                                                                          ♥♥♥

After Gymnastics, I headed home -- with Hannah to see the Gold Medal ceremony! --. I checked my watch, 1:34 My jaw dropped -- a little --. "Whats wrong?" Hannah asked, "It's 1:34! We've been at Gymnastics for 3 hours!" I said. By now, Hannah's jaw dropped, too. "Hey, look! it's your cat!" Hannah said, I saw Sydney's trustful green eyes staring up at me. "Uhh, What day is it again?" Asked Hannah. I giggled. "Hannah, It's a Saturday!" I said, talking while giggling. As soon as we walked into my house, Mom walked up to us "A late lunch for 2 hungry girls" Mom said in a half french accent. "Bona-petite Girls!" Mom said as she served us a meal of fried Chicken. "Should I try and eat it with my fork? Since we are fancy people today?" Asked Hannah. I giggled. After lunch me and Hannah went back to watching the Olympics. By this time, the swimmers were on.

                                                                         ♥♥♥

That night we were watching the Womens Gymnastics finals. "I think the Medal ceremony is happening soon!" Hannah said. "Me, too!" I said, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see who would win the All Around Gold! Soon, Mom came out with dinner. "Okay, Mom, Are you that fancy person again? Because I don't Pizza would fit in the theme" I said Giggling and Hannah was, too. "No, no no! But, If you'd like I will!" Mom teased. "Nnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeerrrrrrrrrr!" Me and Hannah said at the same time. "Alright, Alright, Alright. Here's your meal, Pizza! Peperoni and Cheese!" Mom said. "Okay!" I said. All Hannah did was grab her plate and start eating! At the Gold medal Ceremony later that night was fantastic! I figured out that team U.S.A won gold for all around! Just then, Hannah looked at my watch, then I did. 9:47 PM "I have to leave" "My Mom wants me back before 10:00, It only went late because it's a special occasion" Hannah said, Imatating her Mom when she had told her. I giggled. "Bye" Hannah said, "Bye" I said. After a quick hug Hannah left. And I rushed to the computer -- when I was supossed to be putting on my Pajamas -- I wanted to print out the poster-picture of the Fierce Five when they for their Gold Medals! So I printed it out and walked to my bed-room and stuck it on the wall. "Perfect" I said quietly to myself. I slipped on my Pajamas and crawled into bed just like the previous night.

Chapter 1

I sat at my desk at School, it was 2:59 PM, and I got out at 3:00. I couldn't wait for Gymnastics that day, It was the starting of the week break I had taken because my family had gone camping. But now I couldn't wait to be back at the gym, whirling around the bars. As soon as the clock struck 3:00, I ran out of my seat, "Rose, the bell has not rang yet, we're not out of School." My teacher, Miss Hunnington said. My heart sank, all I wanted to do is spring up to the Gym. "It's okay, Rose! Hey! Heres a joke! In a dark dark universe there was a dark dark planet, and on the dark dark planet,  and there was a dark dark city, there was a dark dark house, and in the dark dark house, there was a dark dark hall-way, and in the dark dark hallway, there was a dark dark room, and in the dark dark room there was a dark dark closet, and in the dark dark closet there was a dark dark jacket, and on the dark dark there was a dark dark pocket, and in the dark dark pocket, there was.........A pink jelly-bean!" said my friend Hannah. I giggled, I have to admit that was funny, but a long joke it was. "Girls, how about you make some jokes about  Math, were on page 336." Said Miss Hunnington, grinning half-ly. "Well, I believe thats all for todays Math lesson, now you can go get your book-bags, and be on your way!" she added. I was the first to spring up, along with Hannah. Me and Hannah bounded straight toward the door, then picked up our back-packs -- and Gym bags, and we were even early for the bus! So after about a 4 minute wait, the bus finally came.

After a long -- Actually 2 minute -- bus ride, we finally were there! I was running a little to fast actually. As soon as we zoomed into the door, I could see how surprised Coach Anna was to see us running so fast. "Well, Welcome girls! We'll meet on the mats in a minute, I have to go talk to Coach Lydia" Coach Lydia was the coach for the Pre-Olympians -- the girls making it to the Olympic trials! -- I hoped to be there someday. As soon as I was in my Leotard, I ran to Hannah's locker to wait for her.About 1 minute later Hannah came out, around a hall-way. "Lets go to the mats!" I said, it felt as if  I was floating! I was so exited to be back in the Gym! I had only been gone for a week, but that was alot! Considering the fact I trained 4 days a week. As soon as we were on the mats, Kara -- My other friend -- walked up. "Hello!" Kara said. "Hi" me and Hannah said at the same time. Kara sat next to leanna another girl on our team. After we stretched and did our Warm-ups, we headed over to the Beam. Hannah flew threw her routine -- Cartwheel's and Handstands. Next it was my turn. After I whipped threw my routine, it was Kara's turn, She had stumbled a little bit after her first Cartwheel, but that was fine. After my whole team had gone threw the Beam, we headed to Bars -- the uneven bars! -- I felt a ping of excitement hit me! Hannah was up first, She landed her uneven bars. "Please work on your toe pointing, Hannah" Coach Anna said, Kindly. I whirled threw my routine, "Rose, Please remember not to have bent knees when your doing your split," She said, again very kind. "I'll work on it." Me and Hannah said at the same time. After everyone had gotten a turn on the Bars, we headed over to the Floor. This time, Kara was up first, she -- again -- stumbled a little on her landing. Next was Hannah, I could tell that she always tryed her hardest, -- and it always payed off! She looked as if she was born to do Floor! Next up was me, I did my Hand-spring, In-air split, and my backwards split roll.

After Gymnastics, I rushed into my house, it had started to rain, lightly though. "Hello Rose! Your late for dinner, but thats Okay, I got home only about 20 minutes ago, and Sydney has been keeping me company." Said Mom. Sydney is my Cat, -- and Companion. After dinner, I slowly walked to my bed-room. It was a small place, but I still loved it. It was crammed with posters of  The Fierce Five, and a ton of Gymnasts. By now, it was nearly 8:30, so I put on my Pajamas, and walked slowly down the hallway to Mom. "Mom," I began, "Yes?" Mom said warmly, "Can---You-----Help---Me----get----to----the---Olympics? Or at least the trials?" By now, A huge smile had spread across my face, "If you'd like" Mom said, and joined my Smiling. Later that night I walked back to my bed-room, I checked my watch, 9:30! Oh well, I must have spent to much time telling Mom about my dreams I thought, recalling that dreamy voice I had when I told her. I yawned, Besides, I am tired. I crawled into my bed, just thinking about the Olympics, and what a dream it would be to live. And Sure enough, that night, I did have a dream about the Olympics.

Authors note: This was really fun to make! But it took like 2 hours to type it all! And my hands hurt :P. I hope you enjoy :D!
